Windows 8.1 Update Available - Preview For Developers App

Microsoft Windows 8.1 update referred with the Code name Blue is now available for the developer devices. After two General development releases (GDRs) for Windows Phone 8 the major OS update is 8.1 which is going to available for all the devices running on Windows 8. The official release date for this update is not yet known but with the Preview for Developer Program all the registered Microsoft developers can update to 8.1 using the Preview for Developer App. These pre-release OS updates are from Microsoft and even you can update to Windows 8.1 from your Windows Phone 8 in this article i'll help you to do that.

Update Windows Phone 8 to Windows Phone 8.1

Turning your windows phone into a developers device

 As I mentioned earlier the updates are available only for Developer Devices so first you have to make your device a Developer device here's how

• To become a developer register in the Microsoft App Studio for free by using the same email id as you have used in your Windows phone. (You can also register by paying some bucks and publish your apps in the Windows Store  if you want to do so register here )
• You can also download  Windows Phone App Studio on your device and register with the email id you used to login to your device. 
• Both the above methods will register you as a developer.

Getting Windows 8.1 updates

To get the windows 8.1 updates you have to download the Preview for Developers App from the store or directly scan the following QR code using your windows phone device.

• Now open the app and Read everything you see before proceeding to the next screen ( understand that the warranty will no longer be applicable to your device once you sign up for the program untill the update is officially released).

• Read the terms and conditions thoroughly before accepting (it's not very big only three terms and conditions so please spend few minutes reading it).

• After accepting you are asked to login to your Microsoft account use the account which you used to sign up for app studio.

• Now after logging in Enable the Preview for Developers and now you will start receiving updates from Microsoft frequently. Once you update you cannot revert the prior OS version but you can stop furthur updates by simply disabling from preview for developers.

• To update go to Settings >> Phone update >> check for updates once you update you can enjoy some cool features of Windows 8.1 like Action centre , Cortana , swipe texting , Start background and many more....

Note: Since this is not the official release there may be few bugs and errors which you may encounter during updation so update at your own risk and based on various reviews very few devices are encountering bugs which are expected to be cleared in the next update.

Bluestacks App Player Installation Graphic Card Errors Solved

Bluestacks App Player Installation is quite a headache because of the irritating and weird errors that turn up while installing it. Even though we face many problems we still want this software to be installed on our PC / MAC beacuse we want to use all those Android apps on our Computer Don't we? In fact this is the only reason which made Bluestacks so popular and even forced you to search for this article :p

Anyways , So as promised in this post i'll show how to solve the most common errors which we face while installing Bluestacks App Player

BlueStacks installation failed - Error 25000 

Showing you the following message -

"Bluesacks currently doesn’t recognize your graphic card.It is possible your graphic drivers may need to be updated, Please update them and try installing again"

This is one of the most common Bluestacks installation error. If you rate all the bluestack errors based on their occurrences this will Top the list by a very far margin.

The main reason for this error to occur is when bluestacks doesn't recognize your driver or it is not enough for it to run, in order to run android apps on PC bluestacks needs good amount of RAM (2 GB atleast) and a decent graphic card.

Updated Graphic Card Required error

This is a similar error which gives a message to update your Graphic Drivers to complete the installation even i got this error too.

Here's the solution to solve both these errors

Solution:

• First thing check whether you have a graphic card.
• You need high power for the graphic card to work at its full potential so Plug in the charger if you are using a Laptop.
• Now check for updates of your graphic driver. You can directly check for updates in their respected site or directly by Clicking on Control panel --> All control Panel items --> Device Manager --> Display adapter --> ( Your graphic card name ) now right click on it and click on Update Driver Software

or update from the official site of your Chipset provider Intel chipset Driver , Nvidia Driver , AMD Driver

•  Now you are good to go try re-installing it.

If the above solution doesn't work as a last try check for updates for your .NET Framework!!

Even after this if the problem continues.....

Try installing Bluestacks App Player Beta version:

• Beta version is the old version of Bluestacks App Player which is not available in the official site now.
• It is about 130 MB size and works fine for all the basic apps but doesn't support all the games and apps which require high Graphics.
• In this version most of the apps are available directly but the search may not work as you expect so best method is to install them directly i.e., through downloading .apk file of that app or game.
• Download Bluestacks Beta Version here

There are few other common errors like Downloading Run Time Data Error etc., which has nothing to do with your PC it is a server error (You won't have this type of errors in Beta version) 1920,1935,1706,1704,1406,1304,1714 ( This is a never ending list!!) are some of the other errors which you may come across while using Bluestacks 

Even I faced alot of problems installing the normal version and was done with the weird errors that show up after installation. Beta version works fine and is much less demanding and better than the normal version.

Subway Surfers for PC Free Download - Windows 7/8/XP/Vista
